a photographer friend and i were talking the other day about how fun it is to do what we do. especially when photographing newborns and capturing all the great faces they make. even though this little guy spent most of the session asleep, when he was awake, his expressions were fabulous!!

not only was this (just) 6 month old already sitting up – she looked like she was going to start crawling!!! that would have been such a great moment to capture! maybe she was just giving mom and dad a sneak peek of what crawling will look like!

i love drool. on babies, that is. i love a chubby, happy baby that has a string of drool hanging from his mouth. and i think it’s perfectly appropriate to capture that in a photo – depending on the context of the photo. passport photo, probably not. senior picture, i don’t think so. 6...
