forty years of marriage, that is. i had the privilege of photographing this couple as they celebrated their *fortieth* wedding anniversary! they were surrounded by their children and grandchildren – it couldn’t have been more perfect.

everytime i photograph a newborn i’m still amazed at how small and perfect they are. . . this sweet girl was no exception. big brother thought she was the bees knees too!
had such fun in the studio with this little beauty! she was a little shy at first, but believe me when i say that didn’t last long! pretty soon she was laughing and having so much fun . . .

as a mom of two boys, it’s always fun for me to spend a day with a bunch of girls! this was one of those days! i got to go thru girl clothes and girl toys and just see what it’s like to live in a house full of estrogen!!
trying to keep up with all my sessions lately! spring is in the air – a great time for outdoor sessions and just in time for mother’s day!! this little cutie was such a treat – with his curly hair and big blue eyes!!!
i love drool. on babies, that is. i love a chubby, happy baby that has a string of drool hanging from his mouth. and i think it’s perfectly appropriate to capture that in a photo – depending on the context of the photo. passport photo, probably not. senior picture, i don’t think so. 6...

can you be authentic if you’re wearing a fake smile? can you be genuine if you’re saying “cheeeeeeese?” is it real if your kids are sitting still and doing the two aforementioned? i don’t think so . . .
that was this little one’s favorite song!!! we listened to it a lot during our session – like, the whole time! dad wanted to change the song but little miss would have none of it! i thought it was great. definitely a girl who knows what she wants!!!

these are the luckiest kids -they have one of the coolest chicks i know as a mom. it was so fun to spend time with my dear friend and her fabulous family!! i hope we get to hang out again soon – and so does my three year old – who is in love...
