that was this little one’s favorite song!!! we listened to it a lot during our session – like, the whole time! dad wanted to change the song but little miss would have none of it! i thought it was great. definitely a girl who knows what she wants!!!

i had so much fun with these two sisters - such little sweeties. mom and dad were cool, too! love capturing those newborn sleeping smiles – what in the world are they thinking?? that it’s great to be a newborn, maybe?!

finally – i’m back to the blog!! i know, it’s been a long while. what a way to come back – i just love newborns! so tiny, so sweet.

this was a great session and i felt so lucky to be able to capture these moments for this family. i’ve said before that to me – the grandparent/grandchild relationship is such a special one. now, obviously, i don’t have any grandchildren – but i’ve had very special relationships with grandparents and i treasure the few pictures i have of me and them. that’s why it was such an honor to take the first photos of this beautiful baby girl with her grandparents.

these are the luckiest kids -they have one of the coolest chicks i know as a mom. it was so fun to spend time with my dear friend and her fabulous family!! i hope we get to hang out again soon – and so does my three year old – who is in love with “miss thang” pictured below – who wouldn’t be, right?

this was my second session with this family – and i was so pleased they chose me to photograph the newest member. he’s such a peanut and big sis is just as sweet as ever – look at those big brown eyes!!

This little one was so much fun! She was so smiley and would stop what she was doing to look at the camera and smile – so cute! She also had so much fun giving her big furry friend treats.

a real blond

i was telling the parents of this sweet boy that i can’t remember ever seeing a newborn with so much blond hair!! i know many women that pay a lot of money to get their hair like this (ok, i’m one of them!)

this little guy was such an angel (and only 9 days old!) – he slept nearly the entire time and let us pose him however we wanted!! i think he really liked my bean bag with the heating pad – what’s not to like?

this little guy was so sweet – he fell asleep mid session so we were able to get some sleeping and awake shots. while he was awake he was so smiley – love that! mom and dad were smiley, too!

navy pier, that is! this was my second session with this little beauty! she was so happy and had so much fun checking out all of the flowers and plants and fountains! every once in awhile she would stop to pick a flower (ssshhhh, don’t tell!)

i had the pleasure of photographing this young lady when she was only 2 – now she’s 3! and this time we included her older brother and her new baby brother! such a great family!
