a photographer friend and i were talking the other day about how fun it is to do what we do. especially when photographing newborns and capturing all the great faces they make. even though this little guy spent most of the session asleep, when he was awake, his expressions were fabulous!!

not only was this (just) 6 month old already sitting up – she looked like she was going to start crawling!!! that would have been such a great moment to capture! maybe she was just giving mom and dad a sneak peek of what crawling will look like!

the sky was threatening rain for this entire session – but this family was so much fun i don’t think the rain would’ve stopped us!

how forty is done

forty years of marriage, that is. i had the privilege of photographing this couple as they celebrated their *fortieth* wedding anniversary! they were surrounded by their children and grandchildren – it couldn’t have been more perfect.

congratulations!!!

one more way that forty is done . . . by this dear friend . . . it was QUITE a weekend!!

everytime i photograph a newborn i’m still amazed at how small and perfect they are. . . this sweet girl was no exception. big brother thought she was the bees knees too!

had such fun in the studio with this little beauty! she was a little shy at first, but believe me when i say that didn’t last long! pretty soon she was laughing and having so much fun . . .

as a mom of two boys, it’s always fun for me to spend a day with a bunch of girls! this was one of those days! i got to go thru girl clothes and girl toys and just see what it’s like to live in a house full of estrogen!!

this little guy and his parents are taking advantage of the baby plan* that i offer. this was his second session (6 month) – such a sweetie and so many great faces!!
